Why would anyone disassemble this piano?
Billy Joel took a stand for his fans and for the vibe (or lack thereof) at his 1987 show in Russia. Joel felt that the Russian people had been “under the spotlight” for too long in Soviet Russia. When the film crew continued to light the audience and disrupt the ambiance at this concertJoel shouted “STOP IT” and “STOP LIGHTING THE AUDIENCE” while growing frustrated mid-song. Then he flipped over his piano, kicked a cameraman, and smashed up a microphone stand to make his point.
